It’s been a big few weeks for pop music and now that the madness of Glastonbury 2023 has passed, music lovers are returning to their trusted playlists to get them through this British sun.

Meanwhile, many are putting in tentative plans to see Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in the UK next summer and crossing every finger, toe and limb for a pair of tickets when sales begin.

Away from the live music, in recent weeks Maisie Peters has dropped her long-awaited record The Good Witch, Little Mix star Leigh-Anne debuted with ‘Don’t Say Love’ and everyone has caught a ‘Padam Padam’ fever.

With so much going on, you might’ve missed the chance to find your new favourite artists or tune.

CelebMix is on hand with eight tracks from the month of June that may have slipped you by and most certainly shouldn’t have.

‘W4NNA DO’ – Thomas Headon

TikTok King Thomas Headon has quirky lyrics and catchy rifts for days. This one dropped on Monday night as it got the hottest record treatment from Clara Amfo on Radio 1 and is part of an upcoming six-track EP that is sounding funky fresh.

‘Off-World’ – twst

Transcendent is the only word to describe twst’s latest single ‘Off-World’. The soaring and fizzing electropop hit sees the star seek liberation from the machine. It’s a must-listen and a surefire winner for fans of her past releases.

‘Cleo’ – Cole Hallman

Cole Hallman shot to fame on the American Idol last year and now he is preparing a debut album. ‘Cleo’ is the lead single from that record and is a statement of what makes the American so exciting. There’s a real country feel and the track drips with an endearing authenticity. Bring on the record, Cole.

‘i like u’ (ELIO Remix) – Tove Lo, ELIO

You’ll already be familiar with new Tove Lo’s single ‘i like u’ – if you aren’t, you’re missing out. ELIO jumps on the remix to make the already good even greater. The Tove Lo and ELIO worlds sound great colliding and make for a dancefloor-filler.

‘pick up the phone’ – Henry Moodie

It’s no secret that we’re big fans of Henry Moodie here at CelebMix. One of our Ones to Watch for 2023, ‘pick up the phone’ is the rising star’s best yet. An anthemic ditty that feels like a warm hug, the hype around this young man is real.

‘Empire’ – Lucy Spraggan

Lucy Spraggan is onto some big, big things this year. The singer/songwriter has her hotly-anticipated book on the way and there’s a new record in BALANCE too. The star speaks from the heart and ‘Empire’ is a The Greatest Showman-inspired ode to her journey over the last few years. There’s not a dry eye in sight here.

‘Pretty Devil’ – Alessandra

Fresh from representing Norway at Eurovision, Alessandra has dropped her new single ‘Pretty Devil’. If you were a fan of ‘Queen of Kings’, you’ll also love this gloriously catchy single which has all the signs of a star about to takeoff after Eurovision stardom.

‘Dream Girl’ – Baby Queen

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had new Baby Queen music. The star’s first release of 2023 picks up from where she left off with some indie-pop goodness. We feel this is just the start of a string of releases and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds for the breakout star.
