So what is their secret? The reality TV star revealed how and why their marriage is so successful even after so many years and so many obstacles they have faced.
Catelynn opened up about the fact that the two of them have learned how to actually choose ‘to work’ on their relationship.
The two have been together for no less than 13 years and married since 2015 and are still going strong.
As it turns out, it takes a lot of conscious work to have a successful marriage and that includes going to therapy!
Catelynn shared with HollywoodLife in a new interview that ‘I think choosing that person every day and choosing to, I am going to work on this no matter what it takes in life. Also, we have done a lot of therapy. We have done a lot of couples’ therapy, but also a lot of individual therapies. I think the biggest thing in relationships are communication, trust and learning how to express your needs and things that you want to change in a healthy way. For us getting to this point, it has taken a lot of therapy.’
As you may remember, the pair did take a short break, even living separately but even then, they still continued to work on fixing things.

‘There’s always going to be bumps in the road with any relationship, whether it’s your husband or wife or friendships or any relationship. There is always going to be things you have to go through. I think that with being married and that relationship, yeah, it is choosing to work on it even when it gets hard because it is possible,’ the Teen Mom also told the same news outlet.
